Divine Light Finders: How Two Authors Created a Spiritual Revolution

Justina Sharp Season 1 Episode 20

Send us a text

What if the healing, love, and liberation you're desperately seeking has been within you all along?

Journey with me in this soul-stirring conversation with Rocio Aquino and Angel Orengo, the visionaries behind "The Orchid: The Secret Code of Modern Goddesses." Their novel transcends ordinary storytelling—it's a sacred vessel for hope and transformation that arrived precisely when our world needed it most.

Born from their personal healing journeys, Rocio and Angel reveal how they became vessels for this powerful message during a pivotal moment in 2021. Their experience mirrors what so many of us face: navigating life's darkest moments while searching for the light within. This isn't just their story; it's a universal roadmap for anyone feeling disconnected from their authentic self.

At the heart of The Orchid lie five transformational principles: awareness, gratitude, forgiveness, acceptance, and intention—what Angel describes as "the formula for alchemy in your life." Through five women's interconnected journeys at a healing retreat, readers experience how these principles unlock profound healing across diverse life challenges. The beauty lies in how deliberately the authors created a judgment-free space where everyone can find themselves reflected in at least one character or healing modality.

Rupi Kaur's (an incredible Poet) profound quote from the book perfectly captures its essence: "What is the greatest lesson a woman should learn? That since day one, she's already had everything she needs within herself. It's the world that convinced her she did not." This truth reverberates throughout our conversation—reminding us that our power has never left us; we've simply forgotten how to access it.

Want to experience this healing journey yourself?

The Orchid is available wherever books are sold, in physical, digital, and audio formats, in both English and Spanish.

Visit theorchidbook.com to learn more about upcoming events, including their first "Orchid Experience" retreat in Los Angeles this October.

As Rocio beautifully expressed, this book serves as "a soft voice that can be there for you, to really sit down with you and be your best friend."

Speaker 1:

Today's episode is a very, very, very, very special one. We are joined by the incredible authors of the Orchid, the Secret Code of Modern Goddesses, from Rocio Aquino and Angel Arango. Please correct me if that's wrong. This novel is more than a story, you guys, is a spiritual journey. This is a soul retreat and written form and a powerful reminder that the healing, love and liberation we seek already lives within us. In this conversation, we explore the inspiration behind the orchid, the transformational power of the storytelling and how each of us can rise from our pain. Storytelling and how each of us can rise from our pain. We can. We can re-emerge, we can reconnect with our truth and we can reclaim the divine light that we carry. So, whether you're on your own healing path, seeking to awaken deeper self-love, or just curious about the magic of soul level transformation, this episode is for you. Welcome, hello.

Speaker 2:

Oh my God, justina, we are so happy to be here and see you in this beautiful space and for everyone who is watching or listening, listen before we begin. We already cry everyone. Oh, happiness and gratitude.

Speaker 3:

Yes, this was really sweet it is so absolutely amazing when individuals who have never met in physical form, right in this lifetime, encounter each other, and is as if we were instantly reminded of the thousands of years that we've been together, and so thank you, thank you for the space, justina, it's such a pleasure to be here.

Speaker 1:

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness. I have goosebumps everywhere. I told them before we started. I didn't know if I would be able to speak. I am just so in love with this book and what it's for. I heard about it on another podcast, shout out to Susan LaPriestess, and I, oh my gosh, did I hear that right? I actually rewinded the episode and listened again and I was like this is incredible. So I reached out to them and I told them too. I was like I don't know if they'll respond. I'm just like some person from the middle of the United States, in Illinois, you know, and they're like amazing, and this book is amazing. And and spirit said well, what's the worst that can happen? I did, I reached out and they responded. So I'm so grateful you guys are here, I'm so grateful. I just wanted to ask so how long ago did this inspiration, this idea of creating the orchid come to you?

Speaker 2:

of the orchid per se began to brewing in the moment that I was feeling a transformation. And in that moment and it's you know, I need to share this with the world Was this necessity of, but how? How we can do it in our way, in our essence.

Speaker 3:

So at that point, and it was 2021 that all that was taking place inside of us deeply.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 3:

So it was towards the end of 21 that you got up one day and said we need to share this with the world. And how did we do that?

Speaker 1:

Wow, that is incredible.

Speaker 3:

Oh, my goodness Rocio is the receiver of messages. So she receives the messages and I say yes, ma'am, and we begin to work at it, and then it becomes what it becomes. But that's how it began. She got up one day and say I need to share this. How do we share this?

Speaker 2:

yes, and like I said before Justina, before we were on air, at one point I was looking. I was looking for what I didn't know, I didn't have it clear, so I entered to this killing place only for a place of. I need to find how you forgive, but the forgiveness took me to no, no, what I understand, the magnitude of what we were doing is like a. Really, this is the book I wish my mom had when she has the most difficult moments in her life. So she has a natural disaster, but before that she just got divorced because my father was cheating on her.

Speaker 2:

Plus, it's like all these layers that at one point she didn't have the tools to really continue to live Right. She lost hope to live right. She knows hope and for me, watching there to little by little was showing me how much love me, even in the most difficult parts. But today I can see it. I was not able to see it when I was in the middle of the storm, right? So finally, when I feel better, it's like we need to do this because I cannot believe me. I have a choice to go and live another life or do this. And I was crying to him to say I cannot go and live another life. This is what I'm supposed to do.

Speaker 1:

Hello beautiful souls, will you do me a huge favor If you go to angelreikijourneycom, if you can scroll down and go to subscribe to newsletter and put your email in there. That way, anytime I have an event, whether it's going to be live in person or on Zoom, you have that information at your fingertips and you'll receive that in the newsletter. I don't spam you. I send out a newsletter once a month. I'll send out something else if something really cool and amazing is happening. Otherwise, also make sure to check your spam folder and convert that over to your inbox if, for some reason, it is going to spam. But so also some really cool things happening.

Speaker 1:

I am working on, you know, getting the courage to be on TikTok yes, I can't believe it. Also, a YouTube channel they made Spirit made me sign up for about. Well, it was 2012,. However long ago that was, which feels like 100 years ago. Anyway, they are working on me to get the podcast uploaded over there too, and some other videos and workshops that we're working on behind the scenes. So excited. Return to the episode and have a great day.

Speaker 2:

So, so excited, Return to the episode and have a great day, and he was so gracious and supported. That is like okay, okay, so we're going to do this Perfect. So, without knowing the path, without knowing anything, so, without knowing the path, without knowing anything, only trusting that we're going to bring your magic and I'm going to bring mine and we're going to be able to really create something that was, we became a vessel. So the message came for me, my and for him is his way, and we together, we were waving this. That is the orchid.

Speaker 1:

And it is a true vessel for hope. It is I'm going to cry again. It is such a beautiful vessel for hope. You guys, I I said this before we started recording too but I have done many, many one-on-one sessions with Reiki. I have walked people through healings with their inner child and through turning their light back on and and, and sometimes they're coming to me in that moment where they have no hope, they really don't and, and they don't realize that there's a whole army supporting them and I get to remind them of their spirit team, I get to remind them of all of the angels that are supporting them, all of their past loved ones, their ancestors. I mean, it's incredible the backing we have for everything, and especially, especially, when you're doing things like you guys right now, when you're investing in giving people hope, when you're investing and reminding them of the light that's within them and letting them know how to get back to it.

Speaker 1:

So if anyone out there is listening and knows anyone that is struggling right now and I'm sure you do know somebody, because unfortunately this, this world, makes it difficult sometimes Right, and this is such a gift of hope I was telling them, I, I have the book, and then I also did the audible cause. I got irritated cause when I was driving it wasn't helpful for me to book and um, so I wanted to be able to listen. So I like both. And I like both just because I'm I'm a little anal, retentive and Virgo and I like to, you know, have everything how I want it. So anyway, and then I can go back to any of the chapters. I recommend having both, to be honest, just because it's amazing and you can fully immerse yourself in it. So, yes, hope is, if that was you guys' intention, you have fully, fully, fully blown that out of the water, a million percent. I mean, this really, really reads like a healing retreat for the soul. Was that the intention from the beginning?

Speaker 3:

In hindsight everyone is a genius right oh sure, absolutely, of course it was.

Speaker 3:

And no, the intention was to pour into paper what we were experiencing in our lives Wow, in our lives. And we just wanted people to feel the way we were feeling. We wanted individuals to have the opportunity to experience these things that at times are expensive, time consuming. Not everyone has either the economy, the money or the time, because so many of us are in survival and, for some reason, the universe really it's. At the moment we started Justina to tune in to this energy, it was as if the universe says ah, you've arrived. I have all this set up for you. I've been waiting for you, I've been waiting for you. So now your children are going to go away, you have savings. We will use those. Your job, you're going to exit. You are going to be at the service of love.

Speaker 3:

Yes, and we trusted, and we trusted and we heard it, and it presented itself in so many different ways. Through her dreams, through my knowing. I started getting in contact with my knowing and understanding it. It was always there. I could see now, it was always there. I would always tune into sayings. You know wise sayings. Life is 10%, what happens 90%. How you react, you name it. God, grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change. And you know, but it wasn't until I was going through this change that I understood it at a cellular level. And when we started working together, we had worked together many years ago, 25 years ago In fact. That's how we met at our jobs, oh, okay. So we had this deep respect for each other's ability and, all of a sudden, what became clear?

Speaker 3:

is that everything that we had lived. I come from poverty. I come from absent father. My mom was spectacular, but she struggled throughout lives too, for her life as a single mother for herself. I experienced sexual abuse, but somehow I look back at my life, including the years that followed, which were fantastic. We traveled around the world together and I now see that I was being prepared for this yes, 55 years of training for this. And so when it started happening and we would look at each other and we would say are you feeling like? I'm feeling, she's like, yes, it was so great because we were able to validate it with each other and clearly this was planned right.

Speaker 3:

I don't know how many hundreds, if not thousands, of years ago we had planned this because it was too seamless and all we wanted to do is share it with the world. And when she said that, and she said let's do a television show. In fact, what's her first comment? And I feel like the book started speaking to me very early on and I said, yes, but not yet. It needs to exist in a story first. It needs to be complete. The energy needs to exist in a story first. It needs to be complete. The energy needs to be concealed and it needs to be finalized so that it's powerful. Right, and that's how it began. It's, and this was the beginning of 2022.

Speaker 1:

Oh, wow.

Speaker 1:

And before we started I said it's totally a television series, like it's totally a television series, Like it's totally a movie, it's totally many retreats before the whole thing comes together and it's complete physical form. Like, oh my gosh, I told you guys I already work there, I already do everything. I mean, like it's, it's just so incredible. I feel like I struggle to put into words how strongly I feel about this. I mean, when you said about, you feel like you've been being prepared your whole lifetime for this, that's so much how I look at you know, we're all on a healing journey, right. Like we don't get to a spot and we're like, okay, we don't have to heal anything else, we're good. It doesn't really work like that, Right, but when we get to have some tools, when we start to feel like we have hope, when we start to feel like there are other people that understand what it's like to go through deep, really tough, traumatic events, when we understand that so many people have been able to triumph past that, so many people, I mean it gives us such a new grasp on life, right, Because we have this whole army now we have the orchid army. Not only do we have all of those people in the unseen world that are supporting us, we now have the orchid army, and I mean I am just like I start to get ever since I started reading this book, when I have a moment where I get in my head, which happens.

Speaker 1:

I wish I could always be in my heart 24 seven, but for some reason I'm human still. So sometimes I get in my head and I'm, like you know, on that wheel of like oh well, this and this and this and this and this, and spirit reminds me very quickly to go back to my heart and as soon as I do, since I've started reading this book, I feel like, oh wait, hold up. Oh wait, hold up. I'm part of the orchid now. No, no, no, I I do not have to get all distracted in all of this. I know that I have support. I know that I am part of this. I know that I am loved. I know that so many people out there that all of you are loved. I know that the intention of love that is poured into this book is is getting into people on a cellular level. So, okay, I get off on a tangent again. Sorry, I'm just so excited.

Speaker 3:

Oh, absolutely beautiful. Yes, and and and very much what I now understand to be the intention of this project. Without a doubt. It exists, exists. It exists only to remind the people who are listening that love is the most powerful force in the world, and it's in the universe and it is within you. It's not for you to earn it and it is within you. It's not for you to earn it, it's not for you to be granted it. It is yours and all you have to do is do a little bit of work and take all these things we put on top of it on top of ourselves. Like Rumi said, it's just take off the covers and let that light shine.

Speaker 1:

Yes, yes, it is. It's incredible. I need to find this quote. There was a quote in the book Spirit saying read the quote. So I'm like okay, and it is quote. So I'm like okay, and it is. What is the greatest lesson a woman should learn? Since day one, she's already had everything she needs within her. It's the world that convinced her she did not. By Ruby Carr. I've never heard that quote before until this book. I I bet I rewinded it probably 19 times on the audible version and then I pulled out the book because apparently I had to see it in front of me. It's fine. And I wow, yes, that is exact truth. Yes, so I'm going to read it one more time. What is the greatest lesson a woman should learn? That since day one, she's already had everything she needs within herself. It's the world that convinced her. She did not buy Ruby car. You guys, that is just one of the gazillion pieces of gold I want to give I want to give credit to ruby.

Speaker 3:

We have never met her. She is a poet, look for her she is absolutely spectacular a really moving and powerful individual yes, they're saying to mention.

Speaker 1:

There's a singer-songwriter, trevor Hall that's incredible as well, and his wife is Emery Hall and she writes these lyrics that are just the most beautiful poetry, just throwing that out there. And there's one about being a woman, and it's just incredible. So I just wanted felt pressed to share that as well. So in the book, okay, each of the there's like main five women right In the book and they face very real, raw challenges throughout their life and as they're at the orchid and and things are starting to come out within them, right, why was it important for you to portray such diverse and deeply personal healing stories?

Speaker 2:

because you just say it, because it's real woman. Yeah, they is me, is him, is you, is our friends, our mothers and sisters that they have this challenge and they don't know how to. Really, because you are busy and you don't know. And everyone has telling us don't show yourself, yes, and you don't know. And everyone has telling us don't show yourself. Don't show yourself, don't tell them what you think, you cannot be vulnerable. It's like all these times that you need to cover yourself.

Speaker 1:

Yes, smile and be quiet.

Speaker 2:

So in the moment that you begin to understand the way they think, you see that you are not alone.

Speaker 1:

Yes.

Speaker 2:

That everyone is having the same things over and over and over. But we can change it and that's why at one point, it's like this needs to be fiction right because at one point we cannot say, yes, this is a case of so, so no, no, this is a novel. When the characters has these problems, who are real? And we? What we are doing when the characters have these problems, who are real and what we are doing is showing fully naked what is really the soul and the being of a person and all the things that we carry.

Speaker 2:

So in that moment, the reader can begin to see and understand themselves and gain inspiration for them to see oh, if they are doing it differently, I can do it too. So, and you're gonna take whatever works for you, because, at the end, the person who decides is you yes, and you?

Speaker 1:

I love the way that the book portrays too. Like you know, you have to be a willing participant in this healing process as well, and I love that that is reminded because, yes, you have all of this support, but you also have to be willing to go there. You have to be willing to release some things that you have so long held tightly to because you felt like that is what your identity had to be. And, as spirits reminded me, there I did a Reiki session on a couple different celebrities and I one of them I thought looked really familiar, but I couldn't quite place. The other two I didn't realize were celebrities and I'm glad it didn't click until after, right. So I have this conversation with spirit after and I said, oh my gosh, I can't believe I just like, did that on a celebrity, like am I good enough? You know, all of these things start going through right, and spirits kind of pulled me back and they said, okay, but what did you see and what did you feel?

Speaker 1:

Just because they're in a different role in this 3D world does not mean they haven't had challenges. That doesn't mean that they haven't had traumas. That doesn't mean that they had to grow up with a single mom in poverty. That doesn't you have no idea. I think so often we get caught up in what someone looks like on the exterior, what they present like, and you're like, oh, their life must be perfect. It must've been like from the start. They just like came out, you know, zero months old, and was like I'm amazing and I'm going to be amazing my whole life and everything will be perfect. But that's not real. So I was so humbled by that and so reminded at beneath everything, we're all human. We are all human. We all have functioning organs in our body. Our blood looks the same, like it doesn't matter what you look like on the outside. We have to remember we all have hearts, we all have hurts, we all have moments in our lives where we need people, regardless of whether we are at the top of the food chain or the bottom of the food chain, it doesn't matter, we need people.

Speaker 1:

And I think sometimes, growing up, when you go through a lot of hardships, you get this mentality of nope, I don't need anybody, I am independent and I can take care of everything. And I've been there and and I had to be reminded, oh, I do, I do. Community is important and we were never created to do this world alone. So I'm so grateful. The orchid also creates that sense of community.

Speaker 1:

Whether you're just reading the book and you don't talk to anybody else that's read the book or anything, you will still feel the sense of community that comes across in this book. You will feel like you have been invited into this retreat center and you have been filled with love and that, and that you show up. You don't have to have your makeup on, you don't have to have your hairbrush, they're going to love you no matter what. So I'm just, I'm just so grateful you guys, you do such a great job of describing each individual that we can totally the reader can totally connect, totally, visualize, totally, feel what they're like. The Orchid Retreat book it centers around what feels like five, like powerful teachings awareness, gratitude, forgiveness, acceptance, intention and do you feel like these have been part of of you guys's healing journey?

Speaker 2:

philosophy yes, is is the example of how you can begin to use one. All of them, little by little.

Speaker 3:

We explain for what reason they are so important certainly they were the things that we were experiencing and today, when we talk about them, we understand that they are the formula for alchemy in your life. Right To see it when you see it you can do something.

Speaker 3:

That when you put together these five forces awareness, gratitude, forgiveness, acceptance and intention and you begin, you see yourself as the magician and these are your powers. You become an alchemist because you take everything that is in your life and you become its master right Awareness. You observe it, you see it and you ask yourself do I like it in me or do I not? If I like it, by all means, I'm going to continue using it. I'm going to dance to it. If I don't, I'm going to consider whether I want to change it or not, because it is still your option.

Speaker 3:

Many of us live in certain dilemmas, if you will and we choose to continue them because it's easy, because we don't want to do the work. But that's number one. Become aware. And then, if the answer is I do want to change, then you have at your disposal three powerful forces gratitude, my goodness, if you. We've all seen that one person that lives live just grateful about everything they have around them, and it's like they're dancing through life and you're like, wow, and it's just, they see only the glass half full.

Speaker 2:

Yes.

Speaker 3:

And then there's forgiveness. The moment that you understand that forgives is not some forgiveness, is not something you do for someone else, but is a gift that you give yourself, you begin to forgive everything around you. In fact, I now I'm so jealous of my energy that I forgive anything immediately. Why? Because then I don't spend a gram, an ounce of energy on that and I'd rather keep it for myself, so I can use it for my dreams, for my purpose. And then acceptance you know, be like water, allow it to flow. And water can be ice, can be a gas, can be a liquid, the adaptability that it has.

Speaker 3:

It doesn't mean that you say, well, I'm going to let people step over me. No, I'm going to lead life differently and I'm not going to tune in to the energy that some people or some situations bring into my life. I am going to go around it, I don't have to fight everything Right. And then finally and this is kind of like the last element in the alchemy, of like the last element in the alchemy become intentional about everything that you are, everything that you do, every conversation that you have, and for us, those five things really have become, my goodness, the, the columns in which we are building our life and, by the way, sometimes you spend more in one than another. Sometimes, all you need is forgiveness, absolutely.

Speaker 3:

And maybe you have to spend a lot of time in forgiveness or a lot of time in acceptance or a lot of time in the others. So it's not a linear thing, but in the book obviously it appears linearly because you're writing it, but really it's kind of a dance in which this is my toolkit, and I use these tools as I need them and as the challenges show up in my life, and it's just absolutely beautiful man oh, trying to keep it together here, so wow, uh, keep it together.

Speaker 1:

You're right, I don't have to, you're right.

Speaker 2:

Show them how incredible oh you guys.

Speaker 1:

So Spirit brought something to my attention. I've also been a nurse for 20 plus years, right, and I love so many aspects of nursing and in being a nurse I did a research project one time about can forgiveness lower your blood pressure and can forgiveness prevent disease, and while there wasn't a ton of what's the word, I'm looking for Educational documents supporting it and there was definitely a connection. And, as I do my Reiki sessions on people and places that I come across in their energetic centers where they have not experienced forgiveness, spirit has shown me time and time again what that can build in the body and it can build disease, it can build problems with your blood pressure. It can build so many physical ailments. It can build people that have fibromyalgia I often, I often see this in their body and resentments and and all kinds of things and and when I get to have them in my cigarette space that I, you know, I have I the most exciting part is letting them know they don't have to keep it, While they may feel a little lopsided when they first remove it because it's been there for so long, While sometimes they legit physically, do feel off balance for a few minutes as the adjustment, of pulling that out, but when I really really get them to understand that they don't have to carry it and, like you said, that it's not.

Speaker 1:

You're not doing the forgiveness for the other person because chances are they may not even remember they did whatever they did to you. To be honest, you know this could be 30 years ago, Um, but you're doing it for you and your body and you can't hold light to to fill your body if you are full of crap for the lack of better words. So we don't have to keep it. We don't have to keep it. We get to let so much more light in as we release what no longer serves us. So I absolutely love all of those principles and I love the way that it moves through in the book too. It's just incredible. There's such a rich blend of healing modalities too. That was another part that I got excited. I don't think there's any part that.

Speaker 3:

I didn't get excited about.

Speaker 1:

But that was another part that I got excited about it. From Western psychology to shamanic wisdom, how did you both personally view the integration of ancient and modern healing practices?

Speaker 2:

everything that you see in the book. We try it wow we experience.

Speaker 2:

So because? So because we were very lucky to live in places like Mexico, miami, hong Kong, london and LA. Right now, every time we have the opportunity to travel, for example, to the monastery in Bhutan, and when we enter the room when the monks they just finished to pray yeah, was, was something that I didn't know anything about, energy, but I begin to cry for only for gratitude, to be in the presence of something that was, was holy, but you don't know. And then you go to a temple in india or a pyramid in mexico and you begin to see all different connections, to understand that we've been, we have a knowledge, ancient knowledge, who has been tried to be passed, and, of course, some people take it and they interpret. They interpret what they think.

Speaker 2:

So it's so important to tell the reader that at one point. That's why it's so key that you don't give your power to only one source. It's find different source wherever speak to you, different source whatever speak to you, because I grew up thinking that was only one source in my culture, in my country. So when I begin to see another different countries, cultures, way of thinking, I begin to enrich my experience. So when you go to Japan, and then how they do the different, the doors and rituals, and you begin to see all the rituals and traditions in the world. Then you begin to open and wonder but who's right and is then? Is what you feel that is correct for you? Right, because then is the vibration of love that you want to achieve and freedom. So really was a celebration of our paths together, of all these amazing, different modalities that has been teaching us so much, that that's why it's a celebration of of our experience I would like to.

Speaker 3:

I would like to add that we didn't know right many times that we were in these places.

Speaker 3:

We didn't know we were excuse me, we were collecting a piece of us along the way. It's like a puzzle, and you go here and you go there. I remember being in mont saint michel and hearing these monks sing. I still feel like I'm there in that place, and this happened like 20 years ago, and they were below a spiral staircase, on another level of this incredible monument that is this cathedral in the middle of the ocean, essentially, and their singing touched me at such a deep level, you don't know.

Speaker 3:

But all of a sudden, as we were undergoing this process, when we were transforming all of these pieces became clear and as you're a little bit of this and you're a little bit of that, and you're a little bit of that, and it is the sum of all of those things. Right, we're all the sum, depending on what your beliefs are, excuse me, depending on your beliefs, we're the sum of our parents, our society, our religion, our ancestors. We're the sum of events that happened globally, not just today, but thousands of years ago, and that becomes this person, this thing, and we wanted to capture that in the book. We wanted to capture it. And also there's one more thing sometimes we attend an event. There's, I'm sure there's many people listening who've gone and said I'm going to try this spirituality thing.

Speaker 3:

And they go to an event and they don't connect with that person or that individual at that event and they then throw out the entire idea of finding an answer or connecting with something else, and we didn't want that to happen at the Orchid. It's okay if you don't connect with one person. There's more people, there's more approaches, there are more paths to reach that same destination, and that's what the Orchid is. It is guaranteed you're going to find someone you're going to connect with and that it's going to hand you a key that you're going to connect with and that it's going to hand you a key that you're going to go inside and turn and something is going to happen inside of you. And and that was the idea of presenting and honoring so many different modalities. We wanted to include so many more. I had to choose.

Speaker 2:

It was so difficult to just pick a few really, at one point we want to do the book thicker, yes, and it's like, uh is no, we need to remove pages. So we remove a lot like it's a novel, not an encyclopedia.

Speaker 2:

Yes, because we were like that. We have so much to to really portray and put examples how they work, how that at one point is like a no, no, a lot of people tell us no, no one reads number one, then you need to make it half and it's like it's impossible. It's impossible to really condensate this in less than yes. So that's why at one point people see the book and it's like how I'm gonna do that? Yeah, and then they read it and it's like I don't want them to finish.

Speaker 1:

Yes, yes, and then they download it on audible and then they listen.

Speaker 3:

While driving.

Speaker 1:

Percent, yes, I in, or in your ear pod while you're washing dishes, or I mean like there's so many, oh my gosh, I just love it and I'm glad you described it that way. So there's a part in the book I remember where they're just kind of they haven't been at the retreat center too long, but they're talking about the different modalities that are available and the different things. And there's something that comes with water. Like there's a water area and I think it's Mary is saying or someone asks if they have to go to the water, right, they're like well, I don't really like the water.

Speaker 1:

And it's so funny too in the book is because I know all of these people, right, I know all of these people in this book. I'm like, oh my gosh, I know exactly who would say that you know. Or I know who exactly. And Mary says you know, you don't have to do anything. But in this sort of beautiful explanation she pauses and turns back and is like but you know, keep an open mind in so many words, right, like ask yourself, ask yourself why the apprehension towards that in particular?

Speaker 3:

Maybe there is a lesson to be learned there.

Speaker 1:

Yes, I have goosebumps everywhere and I was just like, yes, there's a reason you are feeling that apprehension, there's something there, because if there wasn't there, that wouldn't even come to mind, the question wouldn't even come up, right, like there's so many pieces to it. And I remember, in that that pivotal moment, I knew without a beyond of doubt that something for everyone and all they need all people need is is one piece to connect to. Then they'll start to let their guard down and then they'll be able to experience the healing. And I remember stepping back and again, I'm at the orchid, by the way, but I'm like stepping back, I have my eyes closed. I'm, you know, picturing the orchid and everything, and I'm just looking at everything and every one there and everything that's taken place, all the modalities that are available taking place, all the modalities that are available.

Speaker 1:

And I remember pausing and just being like, wow, finally, there's a place where someone is going to be able to connect with something, just like you said, like it may be something so tiny, it may be the tomato soup. That sounds absolutely incredible and I really would like to have some. So if you can get in touch with that nutritionist and send me some tomato soup. That'd be great, but there's something they are not going to have the opportunity to walk away and not feel love once they come to the organs. So I'm just so grateful. I know I just keep saying that over and over. So, for listeners who may be feeling stuck, lost, disconnected, what do you feel like the biggest messages you want them to receive from this book, if they received nothing else? What do you feel like? You just want them to know?

Speaker 2:

It's the dedication.

Speaker 3:

May I say something else? First, as a novel and as a story, it's so that if you're stuck, just read it. Just read it for the entertainment, read it because you're going to learn about five women and maybe you're going to learn more about the women in your life, about yourself. Just read it, allow yourself. This is. You know, many people are stuck and there are things that they can do and they don't want to because they feel that, whatever, afraid, I don't have the money, I'm unsure if that's the direction I want to go.

Speaker 3:

This novel is set up so that it provides you with a safe experience in the privacy of your whatever, your car, your tree, your house, wherever.

Speaker 3:

And if you allow yourself to read the story, you're going to find answers, you're going to find possibilities, you're going to start questioning little things that may just help you, get you unstuck, and then you can decide okay, well, do I then set up a session with Justina, or do I go back to church, or do I start praying more, or do I meditate, or do I start running marathons?

Speaker 3:

Who knows what are the keys that are going to open and unstuck you? All we really did is set up a little story that may just simply give you the opportunity to experience something. We have a woman, justina, who told us I remember things that I have forgotten about in my life, of things that I needed to forgive and that I needed to forgive myself for, and this is nearly a 50-year-old woman, and so now I understand that the book, like any story, like any prayer it's like a prayer, except that you are being guided and being sort of brought along with a lot of love. One of the things that we were so absolutely careful and we read the book again and again and again is we remove all judgment.

Speaker 3:

The orchid doesn't judge. You are who you are and you are the sum of all your experiences, and I hope and wish for everyone who is listening that one day they feel the way I feel, which is I'm grateful for every single one of the things that's happened in my life, because they brought me to the place in which I am now, and some of the things were not very pretty and were not very kind and were not very loving, but they made me who I am, and so it doesn't define us.

Speaker 3:

It doesn't define us. So I would say, read the book and just try little things, be curious, be curious, and if that curiosity leads you to the book, fantastic, but it may lead you to something else. Just try it. That's how I would start unstucking me if I was in that place at this time and I've been there many times, by the way and it was a book or a conversation or a friend or just a moment alone sitting by the beach, crying.

Speaker 2:

And you know, at one point, justina, I was speaking to a friend yesterday and she said you know, I love the book and I've been recommending the book to so many people, but I have a friend who she read the book and then she didn't get it, and I was. It's normal. It's normal because the book give her something, we don't know what, but at one point she's gonna be walking in this beach and something is gonna click. And the correct time, and you know what is perfect, because that is her time. Yes, we cannot hurry anyone to do it.

Speaker 2:

And if you are reading the book, at one point and you feel like you want to follow what the women are doing and you want to say something out loud, get the invitation is. Play with your imagination, play with. You were invited, so play alone and have fun. It's like no one is watching you. Yes, and you can really begin to see what feels to be whatever you want. So is is this soft voice that can be there for you to really sit down with you and be your best friend yes, yes, yes, a million percent, yes, I um.

Speaker 1:

So about a little over three, three years ago I I lost my best friend and my grandmother within a month of each other and I was their power of attorneys for healthcare and and all kinds of things and I was their go-to person. They were both on hospice, they were both in different locations and, um, they were the two people in this entire world that knew everything about me everything, every hurt, every, every woo-woo thing that I loved, every. They knew the raw, raw version of me and when they died within a month of each other, my well, first, the realization of I do definitely need people was very pronounced. Second of all, my foundation was was shook beyond belief. I no longer had, in physical form not that I didn't have a ton of people that loved me and supported me, but I no longer had, in physical form, two people that I can make one look at and they would understand what I was thinking or feeling.

Speaker 1:

If I'd had this book, then it would have gave me that feeling that I still had a best friend, and my best friend and my grandmother have come through spiritually and mediumship to me, to me, and I am forever grateful and I have lots of friends I don't want to discount that and lots more.

Speaker 1:

Their best friend or has lost that person that makes them feel like they have a foundation and physical form to really give this book a chance, get the physical book or whether you listen to audible, allow yourself to be held in this sacred space of healing and not judgment and support, because it's incredible, it just gives you a huge, huge warm hug and we can all use that support. So I am so forever grateful to you guys in this book and this story and this healing retreat and the orchid itself, and I can't wait till I'm there. You know this. I had a couple more questions and and then we'll part. But once the orchids reel, once the walls the physical walls are all up, oh, and I can just feel into that so much. What would be what you would most want women to feel as soon as they arrive?

Speaker 3:

love that they're home. Home, that warm place, that place that we all have it, that place where you just that you to remember who you really are, that inspires you to be the best version of yourself that you can be, and that you feel that you know not feel that you know that there is a legion of angels standing guard behind you.

Speaker 1:

Yes, a million percent. I do want to say as well. During our conversation, my vision has gotten very blurry and at first I thought it could be the tears, because I'm just a blubbering mess today. But but there is just an army behind you, you guys, a spiritual army just rooting so strongly for you, and there is a choir of angels and there is so many ancestors and so many women and men and children and just shining their healing, loving energy onto you, just backing you, just reminding you that you guys are doing this for a greater good than you can even imagine, and they are so grateful that you allowed the orchid to come through you. They're so grateful for all of the love and light that you are shining into so many people. So I want to remind you of that and let you know. So what's next for the orchid?

Speaker 2:

thank you thank you so much, thank you so much, thank you so much. But for me to don't go and cry right now, imagine I need to have a crystal here in my hand to keep it together amen like I have it here and it's like, okay, okay, thank you.

Speaker 2:

I feel so humble really, and this is the point to see if anyone that is there watching this, if they see it on us, it's because already live inside of them. Okay, we are not special. Everyone is this special, and that's the thing that is so important to remember Really, because at one point, we are loving doing this. But if someone else wants to, okay, I'm going to take this information and I see a problem in construction, or I see a problem with trees, or it is like a. Whatever you feel that you want to implement in the union, in the world, all the sources are going to be provided, but only if you work from inside to outside, and when you are aligned your thoughts, your words, your feelings and your actions you don't have any restriction to create anything that is there for you to create. So, wow, imagine, only imagine how incredible is this and the space that you create. Justina, really, thank you, because any person who is there outside not only can do the alchemy, but they can transform themselves and everything around them mm-hmm, without any.

Speaker 2:

Really, I'm not special. I only dare to see, and in the moment that I went to the most difficult part of my being and I begin to feel all the way and remove them, what I gained was freedom and, yes, the orchid allowed me to do it. A little was like a, a friendship that a little little was helping me to remove everything. And then I was able to see clear what took me time and now what we all the time that took me, what we are doing is making sure for anyone who is watching, and it's like a remember. If I do it, we did it and we came from from the worst. Okay, anyone can do it.

Speaker 3:

Yes.

Speaker 1:

Oh my gosh, you guys. I love you so much. I could just read through this and hug your necks off.

Speaker 3:

And I just want to say to you, yeah, and to the voice and the voices that speak to you I hear you, I honor you and I am humbled to be on this path.

Speaker 1:

Thank you, thank you. I want, when you read this book or when you listen to this book, I want you to take a moment and really close your eyes and feel into visualizing this beautiful place. And if you have trouble visualizing, I just ask that you feel into this place, feel into the orchid, feel into what it feels like, the energy when you arrive, how loved and comforted and safe you feel Because the orchid is coming alive more and more every day and there will be a day when we get to physically attend the orchid. Physically attend the orchid. If you guys, you beautiful authors, could let our audience know how they find out, if you all have any events coming, if you have any book clubs, if you have any live Zooms, if you have any information, where can they go to find that information?

Speaker 3:

Thank you for asking, justina. The best place is to go to our website. It is wwwtheorchidbookcom. You can also go to most platforms at with the Orchid Book, at the Orchid Book and, yes, there are many things that are brewing. We have been dedicating ourselves to the distribution of the book and its message for the past year and a half. We are in the process of writing the first act of a theatrical play. We are looking for the right writers to help us write the television series. We want this to really become wide and for people to experience this love and this passion and this knowing that they are more powerful beyond belief, through every single way possible. We have an event that we're starting to plan in October in Los Angeles. It would be the Orchid Experience, a one-day event. It would be the Orchid Experience a one-day event.

Speaker 3:

Eventually, we hope to take that event to October 12th. We hope to take that experience to other places. We are essentially surrendering to the spirit, to the universe, to God, and allowing God to tell us what's next and how it materializes, and send your thoughts, send your prayers and become part of the movement. And you know and it's not just you mentioned in the beginning of the show I want to work there. Let's own it together. You just don't have to work there. We can be all owners of this incredible feeling and community that spreads throughout the world.

Speaker 1:

Really, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh. You guys, I'm so excited and to get the book. I know it's on Amazon because that's where I bought it. I also know it's on Audible because that's where I downloaded it. I imagine they can buy it on your website.

Speaker 3:

Yes, you can buy it through our website. There's links there. It is available wherever books are sold. Sometimes they don't have it. You just have to order it Every major platform. You can even get it on Spotify Premium, if you have that Apple. The book is available in electronic form, in physical form and in audio form, as you mentioned, in both English and Spanish.

Speaker 1:

Perfect, and the first chapter is also available on YouTube.

Speaker 3:

That's right. We decided to put up on YouTube both the chapter in its reading form and in the audio form, so you get the taste of both the book the physical book and the audio book. So if you haven't tried that, go as well to the Orchid book on YouTube.

Speaker 1:

Yes, and do that. You guys do that. You will be hooked. Do that. It's so great and it gives you a taste while you're waiting for your book to arrive from Amazon. I got really antsy, so, yeah, I might have rewinded it and listened a couple of times, but that's okay. Anyway, I thank you two. So, so, so, so, so, so very much. I'm so honored and so blessed that I got to connect with you two today and that I got to share you with my audience, because I am I'm teaching another Reiki class this weekend and I can't wait. We will be having a little piece of the orchid incorporated into it, because I really want them to know that they have this loving environment that they can also grab ahold of and feel supported. So, thank you. I don't I I need more words than that, but I just am so grateful and so honored, so I wish you guys the absolute best. This will not be the last time you see me, I am sure, and I will continue to visualize the beautiful orchard as well thank you so much, justina.

Speaker 2:

Thank you, this has been absolutely a bless, a blessing yes, so thank you, thank you, and you know I love what I'm doing. This the heart, the connection and be a tune is amazing, so thank you so much for allowing me to shine.

Speaker 3:

Thank you. Thank you for the gift of your words, the gift of this space, the gift of believing, of taking the torch and holding it up high. There's something we learned along our spiritual growth and development and it's that saying, and it's been said for a long time, we're not human beings having a spiritual experience, we're really spiritual beings having a human experience, and you embody that, you embody the spirituality, and I just want to thank you, thank you for this beautiful and absolutely loving and wonderful experience today.

Speaker 1:

Thank you, oh, thank you. I've been through an entire box of Kleenexes this session. Thank you so much, and to my audience. Don't forget to go to my website, angelreikijourneycom, and sign up for the newsletter, and I hope you have a beautiful, beautiful rest of your week. Have a great day.
