BONUS Episode: Soul's Call to Intuitive Leadership, Interview with Catherine Crestani
What happens when you ignore your soul's calling? For years, Catherine Cristani built a thriving seven-figure allied health business while battling chronic stress, insomnia, and anxiety—her body's desperate signals that something wasn't aligned. Then came the numbness in her face and the unmistakable intuitive message: "This is your last warning."
Catherine takes us on her extraordinary journey from successful healthcare CEO to intuitive healer and spiritual guide, revealing the pivotal moments that transformed her life. With raw honesty, she shares how repeatedly ignoring her inner wisdom created physical symptoms that vanished completely the moment she finally trusted her intuition and stepped fully into her soul's purpose.
"When you're an entrepreneur in a soul-aligned business, it doesn't feel like work because you've got this big vision and mission," Catherine explains. Her insights about divine timing, spiritual hygiene, and the courage to take "micro risks" offer practical wisdom for anyone feeling called to shift careers or step into their healing gifts.
We explore Catherine's intuitive writing process behind her new book "Pillars for Life: A Guide to Spiritual Ethics and Practice," which offers grounded guidance for lightworkers, healers, and all those in spiritual service. The synchronicities surrounding its creation—from finding the perfect editor to connecting with an illustrator who created designs beyond her imagination—reinforce that when we follow our intuition, the universe conspires to support us in remarkable ways.

Yeah, well done, justina, got it Okay. Perfect, chris, danny. Yeah, well done, justina, got it Okay.
Speaker 1:A powerful intuitive healer, leadership coach, author, soul-led speaker. Catherine's journey began in allied health, but it was her intuitive gifts, her heart-centered wisdom and the connection to spirit that led her to guide and heal souls globally. She's the host of the Willow Healing Matters podcast, which is incredible and I listen to frequently, and she's the voice behind a weekly substack of the same name, where she shares uplifting soul expanding reflections. Catherine's latest book, titled Pillars for Life a guide to spiritual ethics and practice, offers grounded guidance for lightworkers, energy healers, psychics, shamans and all those called to serve in the spiritual realm. In this episode, catherine and I explore the art of soul-aligned leadership, the ethics of spiritual business, the intuitive writing process and what it means to live as a channel of light in today's world. So if you've ever felt called to heal, lead or write from your soul, this conversation is meant for you. So get comfy and take a listen. Hello Catherine, how are you today?
Speaker 2:I just I am excited for this conversation because we've just been talking for so long for people tuning in. It's like we're like actually we need to do the episode now.
Speaker 1:It's um, yes, we actually got on a zoom about an hour and a half ago to originally start recording this episode and we just started talking and everything kept aligning and it's quite bizarre and our similarities are parallel lives, as you say. Just to tell you a couple of interesting things that happened when we first logged in. So I spoke about my daughter my youngest is seven and her birthday seven, seven, and she likes to see the person that is going to be on the podcast episode. So I showed her a picture of this beautiful lady and she said oh, mom, are we related to her? She looks like, she looks like you and I thought, oh well, maybe we do have some similarities. Little did I know in our last hour and a half conversation. We have many, many similarities in our life and our journeys, but as one of them is Catherine's birthday is seven, seven as well, and then there are about 80 others, oh, yes.
Speaker 1:So also, when I was getting ready to log into this beautiful uh podcasts, I have one of these beautiful oils that's a spray and it has a warrior goddess energy and it is the goddess Kali. And okay, catherine and I barely spoke previously, right? I mean, we touch base every now and then on Instagram. But this is sitting in front of me. It falls off of the desk in front of me, the top pops off, shoots up, hits the ceiling right before I log in to talk to her and I'm like that is really bizarre. Okay, I guess I'm supposed to take note of that energy. So I sprayed a little bit around me and then I'm talking with her and I told her about this and she's like oh, you want to know why that came in. And then a little bit more came up and we were talking about an elephant and how this elephant in one of my meditations came up and went head to head with me and she said, oh, an elephant, hmm, interesting. So we'll get to all of that as we dive into more on the book. Hello, hello.

So, catherine, if you want to tell a little bit more about yourself and where you are in the world.
Speaker 2:Yeah, so I am currently about an hour South of Sydney in Australia and it is incredibly cold and we were just sharing this before and I don't love the cold, but that's okay, I'm I'm planning to move away from that. Um, and you know, the biggest thing for me, bud, is I'm currently surrounded by eucalyptus gums and I absolutely love that because I love trees. So it's really important that I'm nature and connected to nature, so I'm very grateful to still be here and get that connection every day that's awesome.
Speaker 1:Yes, so our time difference is pretty different. I'm in the Midwest and the United States and yeah, so it's evening here where I am, it's morning where she is, and I am so glad we were able to work out a time to connect, so we'll kind of jump in. So you began your path in allied health before you transitioned into intuitive healing and leadership and speaking and writing books and all of these incredible things. Can you share maybe a moment that catalyzed everything, a way that shifted you in this direction versus the direction that you were in?
Speaker 2:you were in so many moments and it keeps pivoting and I think, for anyone listening, so important to remember that it's not weird that you keep having soul realignment and you keep changing your identity, because as your soul evolves and you learn more about yourself, it's natural to keep shifting who you are. I think I've gone through about six identity shifts since October last year and it's because as you unpack those layers of yourself, more and more things come up and then you get redirected to a new path and a new path and a new path. So for me, I just wanted to help people and I was really good with kids. I was the person that walk in the supermarket and all the kids would come up and stare at me and it would happen so much that my ex-husband he's like because we started dating in high school and he's just like what is that? I said I don't know, it's just happened my whole life Like kids would just come in and gravitate toward me and you know, even throughout my whole career as a speech language pathologist, kids always just. I very rarely had kids that wouldn't gel with me. Occasionally I would um, but most of the time parents would say they just come to you and they're calm and just them. Now I understand after listening to the telepathy tapes. I'm like, because I was talking to them beyond words, you know, and I could see them beyond what people were seeing, it's just that were non-verbal, they couldn't talk or things like that, and I was listening to those episodes, just crying. I'm like, oh, it makes so much sense.
Speaker 2:But I never felt fulfilled. So I was always I'm very good at building companies and businesses and you know, from, I think, two years into my career, my ex, my ex-boss, offered me her share of her partnership. So I went into partnership and had my own company very young, um, but I always had this intuitive feeling I needed to start my own company. So I did that at the same time. But my priority was this business partnership which we grew immensely and we turned it into a seven-figure company, you know, and it was. It was massive, you know. We had a lot of staff. We grew it and because I was really good at seeing flowing my gut and seeing the gap in the market.
Speaker 2:But I never felt fulfilled. And I remember my ex-business partner. She's like I could do this job my whole life. It's truly meant to be doing, and I'm like I don't feel that way at all, but I squished it. You know, I didn't like I know, I can't think that. I can't think that, you know. So I was constantly trying to find ways to fulfill myself.
Speaker 2:And then, when I split up with my ex business partner which was interesting story in itself I had already started building my own company and that continued to grow and I was getting to a point where I had to expand and my husband actually sat me down. He's like do you want to do this again? I'm like, of course I do, you know. He's like do you really want to do this again? I was like yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Part of me is like maybe no, but I'm just going to do it anyway.
Speaker 2:So, you know, I got bigger premises, I had more staff and we were very successful. Again, it was like nearly a six figure company. You know. Well, not even really it was a six-figure company. You know it was turning over. I had eight staff again, you know, but at the same time, I wouldn't ask for help. Everything had to come through me. So I created this environment where I'd actually turn myself into a CEO and I was never fulfilled. I built that business for everybody else but not for myself. I built it for all the clients that needed help. I built it for all the clients that needed help. I need it, built it for my staff, I built it for everybody else but never for me.
Speaker 2:And this constant chasing fulfillment and it was not good for my health, like I was going to my naturopath every week coming back with a box of supplements for um, chronic stress, for panic attacks, for anxiety. I had really bad insomnia, like I was waking up in the middle of the night to write to-do lists and I learned about delay send so bad for an insomniac business owner because then I would do all the emails that were on my to-do list and I put delay sent to send out later. So all these bad habits were stacking up. But again, never feeling fulfilled, never always looking for more. And then I go book him with my naturopath and his partner had these offerings and I was like, huh, I saw that the carly doing this stuff and he goes, yeah, she is, you should do it. And I was like, yes, I should. So then I just booked in and I just would, trusted that and our first session. So she did a beautiful channel for me and she's like you got four spirit guides and one of them's a family member. And I said it's, and I just would, trusted that. And our first session. So she did a beautiful channel for me and she's like you got four spirit guides and one of them is a family member and I said it's my great grandmother. She's like, yes, I'm getting a. Yes, it's definitely is.
Speaker 2:And then you know, I was so ready for this, justina, my first meditation, like really meditation, like that I'd done a few things before that and got really clear visions, not realizing that that was a gift in itself. But did this meditation? Got up to my high elf and there, sitting on this bench, is my great grandmother with her arms wide open, saying it's about time you got here. You know, I've been waiting for you and I've been watching you and I was like I just be teary because it was just so beautiful and I knew she was with me all the time, because I felt it and I just knew it and I was just like I'm home, you know. And that started this amazing journey of like every two weeks I would go back.
Speaker 2:And it was funny because Carly and my mentor, she's just like I was, like she's booked in again and she goes oh, maybe she hasn't done everything, maybe she's goes every time you booked in you done. So I said I was doing the work and that's the biggest thing. You have to choose to want to be the chain and you have to step up and and that's what she's like. We were a grade student. I was like I was.
Speaker 2:I just generally am curious and I want to know more and I want and I want to know, and so it kept unpacking more and I want to know more, and so I kept unpacking and in that my dark night of the soul which I say is around one, two and three was my company started to fall apart, because it needed to fall apart, because I had to let that identity go. So I had three staff resign in the period of a week and it's really hard to find allied health staff in Australia week and really hard to find allied health staff in Australia. And so I was on the floor crumbling because there I was trying to pull back so I could do more spiritual things, so I could look after my health, so I could be with my family, and I'm like what am I meant to do. I've just had three staff resign. I'm gonna have to pick up the work. Like this is, this is insane anyway. And then so I got over that. I was on the floor on the ball like crying, and my husband's like you can get up. My son's like mommy, it's okay, you can get up, my guides are there going. It's all right, get up, keep going. And I was like all right.
Speaker 2:So then a month later, another three staff resigned in a week and I was like what? And then I was angry. I was so angry, I was like out at this rock on our property yelling at my spirit guides. I'm like I'm doing everything, I'm doing the work. Why are you doing this to me? Like I was so angry about it.
Speaker 2:And then I took my anger out on. One of my staff resigned and I felt so bad and I actually went in. I said look, I really need to talk to you and I want to apologize. You just got my wrath and I and I really owned it. And this is the big thing like, and I really owned it. And this is the big thing Like, if you can be accountable for your actions. This is such an important thing, you know, take responsibility. And with that she, she was like I actually respect you more for doing that. So thank you. And I said I, you know. I said I feel I don't want to live on bad terms with you. I said because I know you're a talented therapist. I said and I understand why you're leaving, and and that's fine, you know anyway.
Speaker 2:So then a month later another three resigned. It was always three, but by this point I went you know what they're not meant to be in my life anymore and I need to sell this company. And it was funny because at the start of the year my husband told me I should sell the company because it wasn't making me happy. But my brain was like, oh, but where are we going to get money from? And if I listened to him and like sold it, then I probably would have got more for the business because it hadn't fallen apart yet. But at the same time this is divine timing I had to go through that identity shift and let it go. I had to learn how to shift out of that. And then I was like, yeah, what am I going to do? All right, I want to coach clients. You know, I'm really good at teaching like students. I'm really good at teaching other therapists, I'm really good at teaching myself. I want to, you know, coach people in their life, because I can channel for them and I can see, you know, what's happening for them.
Speaker 2:However, after I sold my company, then I went. We got like a decent chunk of money and I was like great, you know, we're going to be okay, I can have a few weeks off. Because I never got holidays, justine, I never had holidays, like I had to work all the time. You know I can't get sick, you all these things. And I was like great, you know, we'll be fine for a while.
Speaker 2:And but because subconsciously, I believe that you have to work hard for your money and I didn't work hard for that much, even though I had, you know, built up this company I subconsciously pushed it all away to the point where I'm like where did all the money go? And it was we spent it and we didn't spend previously, like we actually invested it in things and did a few different things, that and we paid off debts and like lots of things we had to do. But then, all of a sudden, we're living paycheck, paycheck, and for anyone experiencing that, I understand completely how hard it is and how stressful it is when you get a bill that you don't expect and you're like, oh my goodness, like where's this money going to come from? So I had to start. So then that sent me on this journey of why yeah, this is my question why am I going through this? Why am I experiencing this worth story? Why and it was just asking those why? Questions that help unpack more about myself.
Speaker 2:And I was really savvy. I was like still trying to look after my health and recover that. So I got really good at doing swaps with people. You know like, hey, do you want to do a swap Because I have no money to pay you, but I have this amazing gifts. And most people were really happy and over that, because I believe, as long as there's a fair energy exchange and this is in the book too then that's okay, you know.
Speaker 2:And then, so then did a lot of free stuff. I signed up for all these free calls, did these free seminars. I just kept learning and did all these free things. You know, in the meantime I'd also, with some of the money that I got from my business, I'd actually signed up for courses. So I did those as well. So all of a sudden I have like a master in herbalism and a master in shamanism and which which you can't get, by the way, it's just understanding it and a master in holistic, um, metaphysical therapy, and I'm just like, and it's so easy, and but at the same time I'm still like, where's the money? Where's the money? And then I'm doing all the vision boarding and the manifesting and nothing is happening. So it's just like, yes, so frustrating yes, right.
Speaker 2:So then through that I was like there's something, there's something I'm missing. And then I got this free astrology reading as one of the things I signed up for and I'm sitting there and I was like he goes, why are you interested in astrology? And I said, well, the last astrology reading I paid for, I didn't understand a single thing. I said she just kept saying I was really smart and I would get it, and then just kept using words like conjuncts, retrogrades and and moons in in whatever. I don't understand any of it. I'm not an astrologer, like I need it in layman's terms. And he's like, okay, so we put this like really, actually, no, it was just a connection call. He put this really nice thing together for me and I was like, great, thank you really appreciate that. I'm like I really want to work with you, but I don't know how yet. And then, monthly, he had a free astrology call because it was his birthday. So I was like great, I'll sign up for that, you know. And he's like hello again. And then, um, I said I want to do a full astrology reading with you. I don't know where the money's going to come from. I said, because this is going on my life because my husband was going through a health crisis, so all that extra money was going to his health as well. Just like, oh, my goodness you know. And then, and then, um, I was like okay, and then I said, universe, I really want to do this and I know I need to do this and I know I need to work with this person. And then, out of the blue, a client that I've been working with for a good year just decided to pay me like the amount of money that this astrology reading was worth and just put it in my account just to say thank you for being me and supporting her text. And I was like, and I was like, no, this money is meant for this astrology reading. I don't care like if we're week to week, I need to do this because the universe is giving me, gifted me, this money and I'm going to invest it in me. And so we had this astrology reading. I was really, really powerful and I'm like I really want this man to work. I really want to work with this man long term. And so he had this free master class in the middle of the night and I got up. It's about new intuition, right, this is like you just keep doing it.
Speaker 2:So it was an 11 pm, australian time, so I went to bed because I go to bed early and I got up and I shut up for this course and I stayed till 1 am and in the end he made this offer and it was he was launchinga brand new program and it was a launch. So it was at a discounted rate that he wouldn't offer ever again. And I did the conversion and it was exactly what was left in our bank account and we didn't need that money for anything that week and I signed up straight away. And then the doubt kicked in oh my God, what's my husband going to say? You know, oh my gosh, I just spent our last you know bit of money on this, like three months of coaching, anyway. But I was excited, but I was like, oh my God. So I ran to bed by that point, but I was a bit high Like.
Speaker 2:So my husband woke up because what happened? How was it? I said it was so good. I said he made this offer at the end and blah, blah, blah, he goes. Isn't it normally this much? I said yes, and he goes. I hope you signed up. And I'm like oh, I'm so glad you said that, because I already did and I didn't want to ask you, I just did it anyway, you know. So Just sitting there.
Speaker 2:And anyway, and I was the best thing I've done in my life, because I, first of all, I invested in myself and, secondly, I found someone who was leading from above, but intuitive, aligned with me, and I knew my heart, my head and my gut that I needed to work with this man. And within two months of working with him, I was all of a sudden attracting clients. I was like for my coaching program that I had no one for. I had 10 clients sign up right and one bought a package as well. And then we sold our car so I could sign up for the year program with him. My parents gifted us money, so we were a bit smarter this time when we invested it in different things.
Speaker 2:And then, you know, and through all that, I started to unpack more and more of my intuition, but still working at my job, which I've shared with you. But I'm going to share this story because this is where it comes to really trusting your intuition. So I'm still working at my job and I knew it wasn't fulfilling my soul like I knew it wasn't, but I was grateful at the same time that it was money, it was our mortgage, our payments, you know we could still, you know, go out to eat. You know, like if we wanted to like all these things, I was very grateful and my boss was so easygoing, but I wasn't happy and it was just and I was trying to keep reframing it. You know people are like, find a way to reframe it, make it fit in with your values, but I just couldn't. In my heart I was like I know I'm not meant to be here, and so that was in January that I was like I really need to quit my job. And then my my she's like looking at my astrology chart, he goes you need to leave, like February or March, like you need to leave sooner than you think. I'm like oh, I can't do that, you know I can't do that. Like where's the money gonna come from? I can't do that, you know, because I was the breadwinner still. So, anyway, by March, mid-march I stopped getting nervous in my left pinky and I was like oh crap, because I know energetically and I've been told multiple times before that that I was heading for an autoimmune because of all the chronicically, and I've been told multiple times before that that I was heading for an autoimmune because of all the chronic stress and everything I'd gone through.
Speaker 2:So when the nerve pain started. I was a bit concerned first. You know you try and put it down to other things and my husband's like, oh, it's because you start playing the keyboard and it's the chords. And I'm like, no, I don't think it's that. And it got worse, like it kept getting more and more to the point a half my face was numb and I just kept hearing, you know, and I had this session, these dealers who I interviewed on my podcast, and they were like, you know, until you find the underlying cause, the nerves, that pain's never going to go away and you're heading for an autoimmune. And I was like my soul knew it was true and I was like, oh. So every day I had this whisper like you need to, like you're gonna get this, you're gonna get this, you need to keep pulling back, you need to keep pulling back. And I was meditating.
Speaker 2:And then we made the decision to sell the house and move, because it wasn't fulfilling our new dreams. It fulfilled our original dreams, but it didn't fulfill our new dreams. So, once we put this house on the market, I was giving my letter of resignation to my boss, but I chickened out, justine, or I didn't go all in, and I knew it when I was handing over the letter and I'm like, and it said in the letter when our house sells, I'm leaving. And what I should have put was the 30th of April and I knew I should have done. But anyway, because I put the condition on it, of course our house didn't sell, of course our house didn't move. Because, again, when you put conditions on success, when you put conditions on anything, you're like the universe doesn't move with you because you're not allowing yourself to go all in, you're not trusting, you're actually putting conditions on everything. So then, at the end of april, her house still hadn't sold.
Speaker 2:I'm still in this job, I'm still feeling unfulfilled and I'm like, oh, my goodness, I can't keep doing this. My numbness was still there, still concerning me every single day. And then I was meditating, um, in a session, my coach was running and this word just came up quit. It was non-negotiable, you need to quit. And it was almost like this is your last warning. And I felt that and I knew I had a massive blowout with my husband. I was like and he's fine, just quit. That's what I needed. You to say, thank you. And the next day I rang up, my boss, and I said I've got a date for you. I needed you to say thank you. And the next day I rang up, my boss, and I said I've got a date for you. I'm finishing the end of May. And he's like because you're so sorry, I'm like no, because I thought I had more time. And I'm like I told you in March, dude, like you know, you should have been listening, looking for someone already to fill my position, right, you know, he was just hoping my house wouldn't sell and so, and then it's funny, because he, he's such a person and he goes to me, are you leaving because of me? And I said no, I said it's just, I can't do this job anymore. And he goes. Oh, I understand, he goes, this job's really hard. He goes, you need to rest. This is my boss. He goes, you need to rest, you need to recover. You work so hard, you need to rest and restore your health. And I'm like thank you, I do. And it was just this. Yeah, and he was just. And he goes, I want to. And he offers me and says you know, can I still reach out to you if I need a consultant or I need someone to do emergency work, like for an assessment or something. I said I'd love to do that for you because I really I really like working with you and even on my last day we just had this beautiful chat about things in our life, you know, and just having he goes, I know we'll keep working together because we, we understand each other and I said, thank you, appreciate that. So that opportunity came up. Then, the day I quit, I got offered to be like on to speak on a empowerment women's summit. I got offered to be in panels. All these things start to happen and align and these are opportunities that I never got offered before. And then part of that was the part of the. That journey, too is then shifting that divine feminine and divine masculine so that my husband had to go back to work, which is a whole other story. But at the same time, the whole point of that is when I trusted my intuition magic things started to happen and the first day I was no longer working officially my first week of being a mum again or like I'm like actually the main role as a mum my numbness completely disappeared, completely and it hasn't come back at all. And it's been two weeks, three weeks, nearly three weeks and not another sign. You know, and to me I was like, if that is not the universe showing you what would have happened if you hadn't listened to it. I don't even know how to explain that in bigger terms, because my story itself is like no, this is why you need to listen, because if you don't, then you end up in tragedy. And the more you ignore that inner voice, the more you end up in crisis in your life because you're not living a soul aligned life, you're not following what that inner voice is saying.
Speaker 1:Yes, wow, that's so very uh, lots of similarities there.
Speaker 1:It's crazy how much our our lives align. Uh, I mentioned in a previous podcast there was I went to see the doctor about it was about 40 days after my last day of work and I've been on a weight loss journey for quite some time now and, however, it's been kind of, you know, up and down with different things. And I went for my checkup and you know she did the measurements all around and then we hold onto this machine that you know examines where your fat is and muscle and all that. And she said what happened like 30, around 30, 35 days ago, because there's been a huge change in the last 30 days with this test, and I'm like, well, I mean quit my job. And she said, oh my gosh. She said I bet that's it. She said you lost four pounds just in your midsection, which tells me your cortisol level was probably off the charts, your stress level was probably off the charts and now your body was able to release this excess weight because you're not in a constant state of stress.
Speaker 2:So I totally get what you're talking about with that and when you go, even if you have a really busy day in your soul aligned business, it's so different yeah, and it's um interesting because my coach did this talk and it really hit home for me, which is when you're an entrepreneur in a soul aligned business, it doesn't feel like work because you were, you've got this big vision and this mission and you know that this is your purpose and this is why you're here. Verse when I built my company, I actually put myself in a CEO role because that company was built based on what I thought everyone else's expectations were for me rather than what my soul was telling me to do, and I'm grateful for the opportunity because it showed me, hey, I'm really good at seeing gaps in the market, I'm really good at building businesses, I'm really savvy and can understand accounts and payroll and all that stuff. I don't want to do all that and I think the biggest clarity I got for anyone who's not sure if they're on this path was I wrote a list down of the things I liked doing in my business even the people and the things I like doing in my business. And when I was really honest with myself, the stuff I was telling myself I like doing, I actually hate it. And so, like I was like I like doing the accounts, actually hate it. I, like you know, dealing with all the stuff, drama, no, I hated and and my list of what things I liked. I think there was three things and it was like like multiple, I don't know, maybe 20.
Speaker 2:On the other side, I was like, if this isn't a sign, this isn't what I'm meant to be doing. You know, and and you know this is where manifest manifesting comes in as well. Nothing manifests if you're not on your soul aligned path because it's not meant to. You know, you can say I want all this money or things to come, but it's not going to come if it's not meant to, because you're not working, walking the journey that you're meant to be walking, you know. So this is where this intuitive thing and listening to that inner wish in wisdom and not your head. You know, we've been so conditioned to think with our head first and then check in with our heart where it should be your heart, your gut and head. And if people are like, oh, you know that's not very logical, well, the heart math institute has done research to show there are more decision making receptors in your heart and your gut than in your head, and your heart has the most. So if you think about that. You should be checking with your heart first, then your gut and then your head. Your head should be the last one that gets a thing. And your head just it makes things confusing. It just puts all the crazy stuff out there. And if you ever listen to that voice in your head, you realize.
Speaker 2:And a question I often get is how can you define between your inner voice and the voice in your head? You just know it feels different. That's all I can say. But sometimes the ego gets tricky. It likes to get tricky and it likes to make you think that's your inner voice and it will go like this different energy and I'm like I think that's the ego playing tricks on me and your ego dies. I want to talk about that too, because so many people think talk about your ego death and all things like that.
Speaker 2:It never goes away, like it's always there, because that's part of being human. But you just learn to discern what is your ego and what, what is your inner wisdom? And the ego just kind of turns down. It's like you're turning down the volume and you're making peace with that voice in your head. You're not trying to dismiss it and sometimes you know the simplest thing. I don't know about you, justina, but when your voice head is going on, just acknowledging it can be enough to make it go away, because it's just there to keep us safe and it's just there to make sure we get things done. If I'm meditating, I've got a to-do list coming up in my head. Sometimes I will actually stop and go okay, I'm going to write this all down because it needs to get out. Or I'll just say thank you for letting me know. I'll remember to do that later. Thank you for letting me know and just acknowledging it, and then all those thoughts go away yes, that's incredible.
Speaker 1:That's great because you know, even knowing, that sometimes we can still get lost in that. You know, in the busyness of life sometimes get a little sidetracked. And let me reel myself back in. So what you know, you do a lot of healing and guiding and teaching, and how do you stay grounded and spiritually nourished yourself? What? What are some things you do for you to ensure that you stay um?
Speaker 2:me, yeah, um, so I am that person that gets up at 5.m most days, so I get up an hour before my little one gets up, and the reason I do that is there's so many things that talk about it, like the 5 am club and things like that, but the reason it's powerful is because it's an hour that I can spend on me, so I will. The first thing I do most mornings is I will actually connect with God, divine universe, whatever resonates for you. But I connect in with the God, energy and I say how can I serve today? And sometimes the message is to rest, believe it or not. It's like you need to rest today and I'm like, okay, I will Thank you, because often we don't give ourselves permission to rest. But today it was like focus, be present. I was like, okay, I can do that, you know, and sometimes just remembering that little connection you have can be really powerful.
Speaker 2:And then I always give gratitude. So I'll sit there and I'll just start giving gratitude for whatever pops in my head. You know I'm grateful that it's a blue sky today. You know I'm grateful that I have this beautiful bed that's keeping me warm. You know I'm grateful that I get to have cuddles with my little one. You know all those things and if people such a powerful practice, gratitude and feeling it truly in your heart and you know, lately I've been actually giving gratitude to money, money I'm grateful that we're healing our relationship and things like that and things you can focus on. So that's kind of how I start my day and like that and things you can focus on. So that's kind of how I start my day and then I will do a little bit of yoga and movement practice and then I will, you know, somehow tap into nature, whatever it might be.
Speaker 2:I usually do the tree yoga pose because that makes me feel really connected tree as I'm looking at the trees and they're doing the yoga pose, um, even in the dark, because at the moment it is dark at 5am and and then I will, you know, just enjoy the silence before I jump into whatever I need to get, and then I'll do the tasks that I don't want to do first, um, which is normally my social media stuff, because I don't like being on social media too long. So I'll get that done and get that out of the way, and if I don't have to do it later in the day I get really grumpy about it. Um, the same, if I don't have that first hour, but it's like really, and then I just check in and I clear, and you know, it's ongoing practice too. So whenever I work with someone I make sure to clear and discharge the energy, but there's also no attachment to it. So if I get information for people or channel through information or channel through some healing, as soon as it's done, it's done. And half the time I don't remember. And people like how can you not remember? It's like because it's not for me. I'm just the vessel and I'm just passing it on to you and providing you with the guidance or the healing that you need, and once I'm done, I'm done.
Speaker 2:It needs to be like that and if you're starting your spiritual journey or want a spiritual practice, it's really good to learn spiritual hygiene really early on, really quickly, and because for me, um, I investigated, being a medical intuitive, so I did this course and the first thing I learned that was so powerful was that I was actually feeling other people's pain my whole life and I had no idea. So I would go to a party and end up like leaving, like bent over with stomach issues and feeling like I wanted to throw up and and think I just put it down to maybe I drank something I shouldn't have or maybe I ate something I shouldn't have, right. And then later, when I was doing this medical intuitive course, I was like, holy crap, I actually feel everyone else's pain. I was like, oh my gosh, and it still happens, but nowhere near to the level. And it might be like, you know, I feel someone else's pain. So I actually call them and go hey, what's going on? You know, is your shoulder okay? I usually do it with my parents. My parents freak out they're actually just used to it now but're like, yes, my knee is out of alignment, how do you know that? And I was like, well, um, my knee's not happy, so it must be yours. And sometimes I feel the collective's pain. But learning like, hey, is this mine or is this someone else's? Was such a powerful question to ask, you know, and then do I have to do anything with it or can I let it go? Sometimes it just needs to be acknowledged, like those thoughts in your head.
Speaker 2:And as I was doing this medical, intuitive thing and learning more about myself, like learning how to discharge the energy was so important because when I started it I actually took on other people's pain, like I could actually feel their pain in my body and it was really energetically exhausting and I was like I don't think I need to do it this way, or I don't feel I need to do it this way, or I don't feel I need to do it. So I should say feel, not think, I don't feel I need to do it. Okay. So then I um, you know, I was kind of discarded what I learned and just started intuitively trusting what came through and, first of all, my energy was better. I wasn't. I could just sense, kind of what was going on, but I could explain it in words. So the person knew that I, I understood what was happening and I wasn't taking on their energy, which was really, really important too. But the biggest thing is, when you're an intuitive healer, you just trust comes through and half the time I didn't even know what's going to come through and the amount of time.
Speaker 2:Like last week, I had all these sessions and I had these new things that I had no idea I could even do. And I'm there, going to my guides, I can do that. And they're like yeah, you can. I'm like, really, they're like, yeah, go for it. And I'm like, okay, you know like they're like. So this one thing I feel to share it, but this one thing I got shown was I was working with my client and she just is exhausted. You know, she just needed to rest and we put her in this beautiful bed with Mother Earth and Mother Earth was just looking after her and I was just holding space and all these beautiful plants came in and they were working all over her. I had was pulled a few chakras I had to clear and then they just took over. She had crystals on her.
Speaker 2:Again, intuitively, I don't know, know, I just put them wherever I'm guided and they go. You need to work with her inner child and I'm like doesn't she have to do that work? They're like no, she's exhausted and she's giving you permission on the soul level and physical level that you need to do some work with her inner child. And I'm like, oh okay, so it was really different and what came through was these different points in her childhood, these affirmations came out and then she had to say those affirmations to help shift the energy out of life. But I did kind of the healing for her inner child, where her inner child met her soul.
Speaker 2:It was really bizarre to watch. So her inner child and her soul were there in front of me and I'm like kind of the mediator in between the two and then I was like, all right, you guys, you figure out what you need, but it was just witnessing it and holding space. And this is the magic of when you tap into your intuition and you tap into spirit, because you never know what's going to happen and the more you're open to it and the more you just let it be and not, you know, question everything. It's good to ask questions, but when you are in that space, in the healing space, sometimes just holding that space and container can be enough to let whoever needs to come in to do the work, whatever energy needs to happen. And she was in such deep sleep my client and I was like drumming over her and just shifting the last of the energy and just she was boring so out to it and I was like, do I wake her up? They're like, nope, just she'll come back. And I was like, oh, okay, so I'm just writing notes to give her to take, like with the affirmations and everything. And then she's just like, oh, I said welcome back. She's like I just got told I had to go back. And I was like, yes, it's time. She's like oh, oh, oh, and it happens every time. So they just know, they just know to come back.
Speaker 2:And even for me, last night my friend was running a tuning fork session she tunes the biofield around doing things and I fell asleep, I fell into deep sleep and anyway, and I and I had something on afterwards and I like I just I woke up and I looked at my phone. I was like oh, oh, is it still going? And I looked at the time and I'm like, oh, my gosh, there's no time for my thing. And then she sent me a message saying for sure, now. And I wrote back to her and I said I, I just woke up, I said the last thing I remember is you saying that you were clearing the energy around my right foot, around xyz. I said then I don't know what happened, but I woke up in time and this is. This is what happens. When things are meant to align, it just align, which is really magical.
Speaker 1:That's beautiful. Yes, I totally understand them. I've talked a couple of times about, you know, different sessions and well, not a couple of times, a lot of times what happens is I'm always like what? Like for real, wait, you want no, hold up. I don't know how to do that, you know and they're like well wait, you want no hold up.
Speaker 2:I don't know how to do that.
Speaker 1:You know and and they're like well, yes, you do, we failed you before. You know. Like you know, we're always right. Basically is how it goes. They are always right and they never let me down. So I don't know why my arguing has decreased. I will say less of an arguer these days, but for some reason my first instinct is always be like what.
Speaker 1:Have you lost your mind? I don't know how to do that, and the first past life that I assisted in the removal of out of someone was just mind blowing. I witnessed and watched the whole past life, you know, and it was just incredible. I tell all of my clients every time we finish a session I'm just in as an awe as you are, because it's incredible what the human body, what their energy body, what all of that is capable of when we hold sacred space for them, like when we really go in with a heart led intention. The beauty that can come out of that is just incredible. It's so incredible. I wanted to ask you know.
Speaker 2:I wanted to ask you know what do you believe is the most sacred responsibility of a healer or a light worker in today's world?
Speaker 1:I don't want to write a whole book on it. Well, that could bring us to the next topic.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you know what? The biggest thing that always sits with me is willingness to change. So this is one of the pillars that came through, because we get so fixated in our beliefs and we get so fixated in our practices and we get so fixed in what we think is right that it can lead to us missing beautiful things and changing our practice to evolve as a soul. So I always think of this example of um. You know it's like you unless you know better, you don't do better, but when you know better, you need to do. Oh, and it's um, using your own discernment and knowing yourself so well that when something new is presented to you, you can go oh, maybe I need to change my practice around that, or maybe that doesn't work. So, for example, smudging. I'll use the example of smudging. So everyone normally typically defaults to white sage for smudging.
Speaker 2:And then I was listening to this podcast and the person said everyone thinks to use white sage, but if you have no ties to it, then it's not the right herb for you to be using, because there's cultural implications there as well, as the white sage plant can be, you know, being harmed and how it's harvested and all these things. How it's treated, it's dry. I only learned the other day that a lot of dried stuff is done chemically and I'm like, oh, that's terrible, you know, like things like that, right? So, um, and she was saying, you know, and then I, then I started to question huh, well, I live in Australia. We don't have white sage grow naturally, like we can grow it. But what? What would the first nations people use? And then within the week that question was answered like they use eucalypt. And that question was answered Like they use eucalypt. And I'm like, oh, I'm surrounded by eucalypt, I can do this. So it was funny too, because I was doing a channel for someone and they said the same thing in the channel that you need to start using eucalypt. So then they were actually describing how to make these smudge bundles and I started making them and it was just known, I just knew how to make them, I just knew, right, this is your soul memories, right? So I make all these eucalyptus bundles and I started using those once they dried out and they did feel better. But then I was like, but I still feel pulled to white sage and palo santo. And then when I sat with it, I'm like, oh, because my soul, cultural connections with that, because my soul has used sage and Palo Santo before. So I'm still going to use that when I feel pulled to it.
Speaker 2:But I'll always ask before I go do a smudging and say what am I using today? Sometimes I'll get eucalyptus, sometimes I'll get rosemary, you know. Sometimes I'll get lavender, it doesn't matter, matter, it's whatever you intuitively feel pulled to. And then, weirdly, some clients I have I wouldn't know what sage is, because they're on the beginning of their journey. But if I say to them, do you have rosemary that's dried out? And they're like, oh, I do.
Speaker 2:And I'm like, okay, well, the rosemary to put that energy through the house, because, especially if they've had a lot of sickness, rosemary can be very clearing um, because it's got the antiseptic property. So even when you burn it it can filter and clean the air out of the house. And they can understand that. And this is about you know, being willing to change because you're open to this new information and open to what comes through and not being so fixated on it. You know, um, and it can happen with any aspect of your life when we get concrete and fixed in our belief systems and the cultural implications that we've learned and we don't choose to change that when we know better, then that's misalignment for your soul, because you need to be open and willing to that and take responsibility around that. That's so important that's, that's awesome.
Speaker 1:I I feel like it decreases flow as well. Um, you're so not willing, you're resisting. I'm sorry.
Speaker 2:Yeah, you're resisting, you're in resistance exactly it's like you, suddenly it's like the rivers change directions, right, this is the image they just gave me. So it's like you. Suddenly it's like the rivers change directions right, this is the image they just gave me. So it's like you're going down a river and it's changed directions, but you're like, no, I want to go back upstream and go the other way, even though that way it could be more turbulent. And so instead of going, okay, well, I've got a new direction. Now I'm going to change and accept that.
Speaker 2:And this comes back to what we talked about the start, where your identity and your soul could have multiple changes. You have to be open to that and willing to that. Are you going to the good stuff? You know we're not meant to be stagnant beings. We're meant to be evolving and ever changing. So the more you're open to that willingness to change and you discernment I'm going to put that caveat because sometimes people just talk and it's just b. You know, and you have to know that you have to go.
Speaker 2:That's not sitting with myself. That is like I got sent something yesterday from a friend on Instagram which is like read into this for me. I didn't even play this more than one second, started vomiting. I said this is all lies, this is. This is so misaligned. Don't listen to anything. I said almost like I'm like you need to clear your energy after listening to that. That's how bad it was, you know. And the more you get to know yourself, yeah, and the more alignment you are, the more that you can go. Oh, okay, and sometimes I'll watch things and I'm like do I do I feel that's true? This is the question Do I feel that's true for me? You know, is that true for me, and can I honor that for myself? And if it's a no, then let it go. You know, take what you need and disregard the rest.
Speaker 1:I think that's bruce lee's saying yes, oh my gosh, you know we talked a little bit, uh, before we start recording, about your new book, which comes out very, very soon and Tomorrow. Yes, and you shared that this book came through intuitively, like the story was unfolding as you wrote, like what does that look like? How did how did that take place with you, or were you just like oh, I want to channel a book right now and voila, it's over in 10 minutes.
Speaker 2:When is it ever that easy with spirit, justina?
Speaker 1:seriously I agree wholeheartedly, but just you know, just to put in perspective like there's so much more that goes into it. Yeah, and trusting, exactly just said, and discernment, I'm sure, played a key role in a lot of that.
Speaker 2:So yeah, so the the actual premise for the pillars for life. It actually came near the end of my time working with my spiritual mentor, so like. So my question was when she was telling for me was how do I channel for people and is there anything I need to know? And then my guides just gave us these seven pillars of spiritual ethics that's what they called it. Here's some spiritual ethics. And it was like the grounds and I'm like, okay, I need to turn that into a book one day. And then life happened Like I had to do it. So this is the end of 2021, it would have been so.
Speaker 2:Then all these things were happening and I knew I kept getting a bit more about it. And then I said to my mentor I said, hey, you know, are you okay, I'm getting? Like, at the start of this year, I got a big kick in my back, basically like you to write this book and we're going to give the information to someone else. And I'm like, okay, okay, okay, okay, I'll do it. Um, so I reached out to my mentor and she's like, no, the information was always for you. The book's meant for you. You write the book. And I was like, okay, you're getting a dedication. She goes and I will cry. I was like I know you will, so anyway. So I started channeling this book and my brain's like this will be really quick. But in the meantime I'd already been writing this novel. And so the novel.
Speaker 2:I call it ghost writer or spirit writer if you will a separate book, a completely separate book yes it was a.
Speaker 2:It's a romantic thriller. It's called my virtual obsession. It will be out towards the end of the year, you know. But I had, I was writing that I said and they, I get this kick in the back and they're like you need to do spiritual ethics. And I'm like let me just finish this book, because I'm so close to finishing it, you know, and then I will do spiritual ethics. And they're like, okay, you know.
Speaker 2:So the end of January I started writing. I thought this will be quick, you know. So I'm typing and typing, typing, typing, and you know, this book comes out and I'm like, great, and they're like you're not done yet. I'm like, of course, I'm not done yet. They're like you need to add in more you. That was the first thing. You need to put more you in and put your examples in it, because I was trying to write it from like a third party perspective. They're like, no, make it about you. You need to put your essence, this book. I was like, okay, so I started doing that and then I thought, okay, I'm done. They're like, no, you're not done.
Speaker 2:And so then every pillar, the pillars actually added on extra bits. It was a friend said to us a friend, to my spiritual mentor, and I said, actually no, there's nine things. And I'm like, oh, no, there's 10 things, why? Okay, so it got bigger because that's what happens. And then they're like, actually know, every, every pillar and every um, every aspect of spiritual ethics, needs to have um be attached to a chakra, to an auric layer, to a crystal, to a guide, a spiritual guide, to a plant and to an animal. And I was like, okay, here we go talk about exactly.
Speaker 2:And so this is the full story now, where justina was saying about, you know, the goddess khali and the elephant. So the very first pin, which is divine wheel, which is all about to be like our freedom of choice as humans, and how we always have the ability to choose, the actual spirit animal is um, the overseeing guide is goddess khali, and the spirit animal attached to that pillar is the elephant, and then the um, full circle. Then the actual plant that looks after is the eucalyptus. So that was why, when justina started telling me all these things, I started laughing, because this is spirit just making and reaffirming things. And even when I was writing this book, my coach is like, hey, why don't you interview practitioners that you know you've had on your podcast about what they'd want to see in a book like this? And some of them I was like. I was like that seems common sense, but okay, maybe I'll put it in there. Like confidentiality, right, no one wants to go to someone they're working with like a body worker or whatever and then have all their laundry, you know, put put out in the world. No one wants that. So I was like, okay, exactly, we're just going to put that in there anyway, because it's like, yeah, some people don't have common sense, we're just going to put that in there anyway, you know. And then I was talking to another person who was talking about sacred space and I said, yeah, that's a really. So I made sure to include a lot about that and so I did this kind of research. But then every time I talked to other people, once this book has coming to fruition, everything they were saying that they wish would happen in the world around spiritual ethics was already in the book and I was like, oh, thank you spirit, thank you, thank you, spirit. You know, so it was really alignment, like this massive alignment, you know, and um, and as more came through, just kept aligning.
Speaker 2:And then, and then, through the whole book writing process, I tried to edit my own books. I realized how much I despise editing. It's my turn of genius, it's. And it actually stopped me from wanting to write for a good few weeks, like it took me right, it took me a bit of time to come, and then, coach went, different part of your brain, it's not creative, it's logical. I was like, oh, so I found an editor and and I like pitched to this site and I had like five people that I kind of picked and I picked they. They then give you back a proposal.
Speaker 2:And this first person started talking to me and I was like I don't think you're the person. And she kept trying to share, like, oh, you know, I've got a background in Reiki and these things and everything. I'm like that doesn't make mean that you're my editor. And then she quoted her price and I was like that seems really high, you know and way. And I started looking at this other and then I had this other quote come back and she's like, oh, your manuscript needs so much work. You know, you're like terrible writer and all these things. And I was like, oh, this person and I'm probably never going to hear from you again, but this is how much I would charge, and it was a astronomical amount. I was like clearly you don't want the project, why wouldn't you just decline rather than writing all those negative words and being really terrible? You know, like it was truly a terrible thing and I was like, yeah, no, reject, thank you very much.
Speaker 2:And then in the middle hidden, was my editor and she was going to do everything for me, like all the developmental edits plus the copy edit. And then I looked at what books she had already worked on and there were things like principles and Taoism and all these beautiful yes, exactly. And I was like thank you, universe. And I said, can I call you? Because I feel I want to say yes, but I just want the energy through the phone because it's different between the computer and talking to someone.
Speaker 2:And then when I spoke to her I just was, yes, I work with you and I'm so that I did, because she took my book to a next level, because she said, hey, you know how you put in this spiritual hygiene practice? This is amazing, people will love this. You need a practice in every chapter, attached to the pillars and attached to the foundation, the great keystone and the groundwork. And I went, okay, that's amazing. So then that is how it evolved again. So the book just kept evolving and turning into this beautiful thing, and then I didn't know what to call it. So I was like spiritual ethics. Not many people are going to be looking up a book on spiritual ethics, right and um so then I'm yes, many people yes yes.
Speaker 2:So then I'm just, yes, many people yes. So then I'm just in there going. You know, this is more than just a book on spiritual ethics. It's actually a guide to life, you know. But I'm sitting there and I interviewed this beautiful person. She said Catherine, I know how you get the title. Just every night, before you go to bed, just, you know, write down saying what's the title of my book. And I was like, okay, so I did that for a few nights and then I was there with my son to sleep and he'd just gone to sleep and then I'm like, and I run out to grab the nearest thing, which was my phone. I just start to type for life, to spiritual ethics and practice. And then the extra bit came, because that's for the SEO keywords, so people can actually find it, you know. And I was just like, oh, thank you, you know. And and so everything about this book and how it's come together, it's just been divine timing and the beauty of it all pulling in. And even I was sharing with you some of the graphics earlier.
Speaker 2:So I was trying to use chat GPT to form these columns and these pillars and I had an idea of what they wanted to look like and I just couldn't get it out into the world what I wanted. And then I reached out to someone in my coaching group and she's like look, she goes. Thank you for thinking of me, but this isn't my skill set. Let me see if I can find some people for you. So she found me, this original, this first person. I said I don't think we're aligned, you're not gonna be able to do what I want.
Speaker 2:Then she found me, this other person and I said okay, you know, here's what the pillars are. They've got you did. So. What he did was so magical. He took the pillar and he took the spirit animal and he took the plant animal and he entwined to the design of the pillar and he put it in sacred geometry design. And he showed me these images and I was like this is beyond what I ever comprehend. And I was showing Justina these images before and they're just out of this world, right, like it's just like I would never, I could feel the image, like they were penetrating through my soul.
Speaker 1:Yes, looking at them, it's. This is unreal. I mean, wow, I think I can't even come up with a better word than that?
Speaker 2:yes, exactly, and this is, this is the beauty of when you are putting something out in the world. That spirit wants out in the world because it will all come together and come beautifully. And it's funny because my illustrator is like, oh no, I still want to color them and I'm like they don't need color, they already have power. And he goes, but I really want to color them and I was like great, I will use them when I'm teaching workshops and presentations on this because that's where I feel they'll come in. But we don't need color for the book.
Speaker 2:Most people have kin, people have kids, whatever it is, whatever these days you don't need color. You just need those images to sit and strike you and you know that's the whole premise of it. Even the front cover, like, of the book has just a little bit of blue, because blue is like this blue behind me, it's just like the color that I get resonated and pulled through, you know, and it's just, it just came through beautifully. And then the book cover my husband made you know he actually loved it because it's in this creative element and he's actually really good at it and the word the hardest thing was trying to go through canva and and decide which font to use, because there's too many.
Speaker 1:There's too many choices there are a lot of fonts, for sure. There are a lot of fonts for sure. Wow, exactly, do you? I feel like you maybe already answered this, but I you know, I was thinking how healers, intuitives, those in the spiritual realm that work with clients, you know, whether in a group or a one-on-one session about how you would suggest that they ensure that they're remaining in integrity while they're growing and marketing a spiritual business in today's world, and I think you sort of touched on it with what you do as far as checking in with yourself throughout the day. Would you say that's? How would you, how would you word that to someone?
Speaker 2:so, first of all, your intention is everything where your energy flows, your intention, where your intention goes, your energy flows right. So if you go in with the intention of I'm going to serve to the highest and greatest good for all parties, so you and the person it's really important to include yourself because so often as healers, lightworkers, bodyworkers, whatever it might be, we so often will serve people and let our own energy empty, and so you need to make sure it's the highest and greatest good for everybody. You know you don't want those toxic clients that suck more of your energy than you actually give to them or like restoring them, I should say, rather than give to them because they're not healthy for you, you know. So that's something really important to go with. That intention, highest and greatest good for all involves. And the other part is, like you said, exactly knowing yourself and keep checking in with yourself, because you'll keep evolving and sometimes you will outgrow the clients that you have.
Speaker 2:I outgrew my coaching clients because I went from, you know, repairing my work story and I am enough to. Hey, I actually want to work with leaders and teachers and healers who want to change the world and, you know, create these new paradigms that is so needed to come back. I say come back because they've forgotten, right? So you know it's continually changing with that and asking yourself questions and if you're someone listening, looking for a practitioner asking questions, and if that practitioner this is such a red flag, if that practitioner refuses to answer your questions or, you know, won't give you a straight answer. And it doesn't mean sometimes we can't give the exact answer, because sometimes you're not meant to know yet and that's okay. But if they dodge it or say, oh, you know, just look on the website or whatever, that is not in alignment. And even I found this, like, because I connect with strangers every day this is how I met Justina like I connect with strangers every day on Instagram and, um, if someone just drops me a link when I'm generally curious about what they're doing, I don't talk to them.
Speaker 2:Because if you haven't got time to just say in your own words what you're doing, whether you drop me a voice note, which takes a minute, or even just send me like a little text instead, if you're dropping me a link that feels icky, I don't like that. I don't do that to people. People want to ask me what I'm doing. I'm happy to share, you know, so feeling what's in integrity for you and you know, ask those questions and be open to answer them. And if you don't know the answer, be open with the client as well, or the patient, and be I'm not sure what that answer is. Can I get back to you or can we look further into it together? And then you're not dismissing it, you're actually leaving it open as a conscious inquiry and a compassionate inquiry, so you can get further to the root cause of what's happening that's awesome, yeah, I.
Speaker 1:I tell some clients too that you know, if they, if they come to me for a session, I mean by all means I want you to be here, or if they come to you. But if, if they come to a session with me and they don't feel comfortable or they just feel like maybe our energies just don't work as great together as they would like, then maybe there is a different practitioner for them. You know that they would be more comfortable with. I tell them to trust that feeling of when you're like I just don't know about this person. Don't push yourself to go see them if you, if you don't feel it. So I, I completely agree with there. What would you say? Yeah, and it's so good.
Speaker 2:Oh, I was gonna say. It circles back, justina, to that willingness to change. That's another level of it, like being willing to change practitioners if they're no longer in alignment with you, because you sometimes outgrow people and that's okay. Like I was seeing um, this um bowen therapist, and I didn't align with her anymore, so I stopped going because I'm like her values match mine anymore. I have shifted and I'm not appreciating this energy. And then I found another one and I was like seeing. And then I was like, no, every time I go there I feel icky, you know.
Speaker 2:So it's just trusting and knowing yourself so well that you can, and not to feel like you have to people please. So if you've been seeing someone for 10, 15 years and then you feel to move on, it's okay. I'm telling you it's okay because you've outgrown them or they've outgrown you, it doesn't matter which way it goes. It's just you trust that and you don't feel bad because you've been seeing them for so long. It happened with my naturopath the last time I went and saw him. He's like you don't need anything and this is from the girl that was going every week with a box full of supplements, right? And I was like right, excuse me. He's like you don't need anything, you're fine, and I'm like what? So it was really really powerful in that regard and you know, just letting that happen.
Speaker 1:And how great for that practitioner that when they got to a point like that that they were honest with you that, no, I don't need to turn you to a million different things, I can be honest enough with you to tell you you don't need anything.
Speaker 1:And and really, when you change practitioners or you feel led to move on from the one that you're with, it's not, it's not saying good or bad, Like there's no like judgment, so to speak, with it. It's just that's what we're meant to do, we're meant to grow right, we're meant to follow where we're led, where spirit leads us, and that's how we get to get further on our own spiritual journeys. If you, if someone was coming to you and they were spiritually gifted and they were feeling very led by spirit to you know, step into something else, or. But they just had this huge hesitancy. And you know, I just don't know if I can do it. I just I don't know if I'm good enough. I don't know this. You know what is something that you could say to them to give them the extra oof to step fully into their calling there's so many layers to that.
Speaker 2:So it really depends what's going on, but a lot of the time has tendency and fear comes up. It's fear and it's the fear of the unknown. So there's two types of fear. There's the fear that keeps us safe. You know, like that's a dark hour, I don't want to walk down. That that's normally our gut. But then there's the fear that comes from our head, because we don't know what's going on and our head just wants to keep us safe.
Speaker 2:So sometimes, for those people who aren't sure, just take a micro risk like what is one thing I can do to step towards that, to see if it feels aligned, and not to be afraid of failing and failing forward. This is something my coach taught me. We fail forward, you know. So if you do fail you look back and go oh, that didn't work for me or what can I learn from that to grow so that doesn't happen again? And we are so conditioned to believe that failing is a bad thing. But failing is a good thing because it means you're actually trying and you know it's that Wayne Gretzky saying like you miss a hundred percent of the shots you don't take. You know it's your life, you know, do you want to keep living every day like you're numb and you don't want to get out into the world and you feel like you're missing something out, or do you want to try something? You know, if you have an idea, what does it cost you to start maybe sketching it out and playing with that idea?
Speaker 2:You know, I had a client the other day and she had this really unique idea and she said I don't know where to get the money to fund it. And I said don't worry about that yet, just tap into that vision, start planning it out out. And she, in like an hour, she had four pages of basically a business plan, just like just tapping. That's how it was. She was in alignment with that. And I said and how did it feel? She said exciting and scary. I said you're on the right track because if it's not scary, you're in your comfort zone and that's not going to help you grow. We have to step out of your comfort zone to grow.
Speaker 2:It's like when you go to the gym right, you don't stay on the same weight the whole time. You up the weights every time, make it a bit harder. It's the same with you know when and if you have a conscious pool. If you're curious or there's joy there, right Like if there's cure, your joy, follow that and just try it. You know, like I tried running healing circles, turns out I didn't like it, that's fine.
Speaker 2:I ran three and I went. This isn't for me. I'm trusting that. But I knew I had to do it first to understand that that wasn't my path and that I could pull back from that and go. No, I don't want to run healing circles outside under the eucalypt. As beautiful as it was and amazing as the things that people got from it, it wasn't and it didn't align with me. So it's always coming back to yourself and just take a little risk, just trust that and just see what happens. You know what's the worst thing you can do. Just take another one the next day, another one the next day and before you know it you're like 20 steps ahead of where you started.
Speaker 1:That's incredible. That is such great advice, such great advice. Catherine, where can people find you? Where can they find the book? Please let us know.
Speaker 2:So the book will be available, probably by the time this comes out, but it will be on Amazon, so you can get it on Kindle, and payback should be available around the world, according to Amazon.
